LAS CRUCES, N.M. - The 23rd-ranked University of Oklahoma women's golf team shot the second-lowest round (302) on the final day of competition to finish tied for fourth place at the Roadrunner Invitational at the 6,117 par-72 NMSU Golf Course in Las Cruces, N.M. The Sooners finished the tournament with a final score of 909. Twelfth-ranked New Mexico State took home the team championship finishing with a final score of 886.
Sophomore Allison Johnson led OU finishing tied for 12th place. Johnson concluded the tournament with a final score of 225. Junior Jennifer Tannehill shot the lowest third round for Oklahoma (74) to finish tied for 15th with a final score of 226. One shot behind Tannehill was freshman Lisa Meldrum who shot a 227 to tie for 17th place.
Junior Betsy Berry finished in 34th place with a final score of 233, while redshirt-freshman Hope Edge shot a 238 to finish tied for 57th.
The Sooners begin their spring season at the Midwestern Invitational in Dallas, Texas, on Feb. 23-25.
