"I told our players (at halftime) that I was kind of pleased that we were behind because I wanted to see what kind of fight , will to win and character we had. I was pleased with the attitude of our guys in the second half. I think our players know a little more of what they are doing and played with more confidence (in the second half)."

On defending Louisville: "That's as good of a defense that you will play on them. That QB (Chris Redman) is as good as there is. He really is."

On Josh Heupel: "He threw the deep ball really well today. We knew Josh was good, but he is getting excellent help."

OKLAHOMA QUARTERBACK JOSH HEUPEL

"It took me time to get going. You have to pick your opportunities to go longand we took advantage of it at times. It was a good test for us to be down at halftime because it tested our character and let us know what kind of physical condition we were in going into the fourth quarter."

"We have to look at ourselves from here on out and just do better. You can't play for a half and expect to win now. You've got to play for an entire football game. We did not do that."

On Oklahoma: "They approached this game and made the right decisions. They made the right adjustments. Our adjustments were wrong adjustments. It was our fault."

On Oklahoma's defense: "They gave us a lot of things to look at. The further we got down there, bringing things, they did a good job. They had the answers and we didn't. We've got to come up with a few. We've got to be able to get it in the endzone."

On Josh Heupel: "He's a good player. He did a good job and had good composure. I wish we could have got him down a few more times."
