Williams Named U.S. Olympic Men's Gymnastics Coach Finalist

NORMAN, Okla. - Mark Williams, interim head coach of the University of Oklahoma men's gymnastics team, was named a head coaching finalist for the 2000 United States Olympic men's gymnastics team.

Williams is among three finalists chosen from a group of coaches with recent international experience. Williams was assistant coach for the 1996 U.S. Olympic team and head coach of the 1999 U.S. Pan American Games team. The 2000 U.S Olympic head coach will be named the week of Oct. 11, after the World Gymnastics Championships in Tianjin, China.
