Fan Appreciation Night Hits Memorial Stadium Saturday

Norman, Okla. - In conjunction with its first official scrimmage of the 1999 practice season, the University of Oklahoma football team will host Fan Appreciation Night this Saturday at Memorial Stadium.

The event gets underway at 3 p.m. as fans are invited to view the Legends' Lobby inside the brand new, state-of-the-art Barry Switzer Center on the south end of the stadium.

Beginning at 5 p.m., fans can participate in a select-a-seat process whereby OU Athletic Ticket Office personnel will be on hand to help fans choose seat locations available for purchase for the upcoming season. A free gift will be given to the first 100 people to order season tickets. Fans may also enter to win 1999 OU/Texas tickets.

The intrasquad scrimmage will begin at 6 p.m. and is scheduled to last for approximately two hours. Admission is free for the entire evening. For more information, contact the OU Athletic Ticket Office at (405) 325-2424 or (800) 456-4668.
