OU Women's Golf Team is Tied for 10th After Opening Round

BOULDER, Colorado - The University of Oklahoma women's golf team shot a 318 in the opening round of the Big 12 Championships to finish Monday tied for 10th place. The competiton at the Big 12 Championships includes all of the Big 12 teams, and is led by Oklahoma State with its opening round 296. The Sooners traveled three freshmen, a senior and a sophomore to its sixth tournament of the spring season. The tournament is being held at the 6,166-yard, par-72, Boulder Country Club in Boulder, Colo.

Senior Lisa Craig is leading OU following one round of play. She is tied for 21st after firing a 77. Freshman Wendy Martin is currently tied for 27th with a 78. Other Sooner finishers include freshman Jennifer Tannehill (81, tied for 47th), sophomore Kellie Jamison (82, tied for 51st) and freshman Jennifer James (83, tied for 55th). The two final rounds will be completed on Tuesday and Wednesday with tee times beginning at 8:30 a.m.
