Sooners Place Second At Jeannine McHaney Memorial

LUBBOCK, Texas - The University of Oklahoma women's golf team shot a final-round 302 today to finish second in a field of 13 at the Jeannine McHaney Memorial in Lubbock, Texas. OU could not hold off a Texas Tech rally that saw the Red Raiders overcome a five-stroke deficit. The Sooners' three-round 920 was one stroke behind Texas Tech's 919.

The Sooners were led by senior Isabelle Blais, who shot a final round of 71, her best of the tournament, to finish in fifth place with a score of 228 (+12). Sophomore Jennifer James fired a 76 today to finish at 229 (sixth place, +13). Other Sooner scores included Kellie Jamison's 234 (+18), Jaime Dello-Russo's 235 (+19) and Betsy Berry's 237 (+21). Allison Johnson, who competed as an individual, fired a 235 (+19).

OU returns to the links Nov. 1-3 at the New Mexico State Invitational at Las Cruces, N.M.
