Morgan Givens joined Oklahoma Athletics in August 2023 and serves as the Director of Photography.
In this role, he leads the photography services for OU Athletics to support marketing, branding, events and communications needs for the athletics department.
Prior to OU, he served as the Photography & Video Manager for the University of West Florida from January 2019 to July 2023. In that role, he was the official university photographer and videographer. During his time at UWF, he achieved many milestones and put UWF on the map of having premier, award-winning photography not just at the Division II level, but at all levels nationally.
In 2019, serving as the team photographer for UWF Football, Givens documented every game of the Argo’s “Cinderella season” as they won their first national championship in only the fourth year of the program’s existence. His work from that season was commemorated in a special edition book, “Our Best – The Story of the UWF Football 2019 Season” and won numerous awards.
While at West Florida, he had opportunities to freelance for the College Football Playoff, Jacksonville Jaguars, NASCAR, Sun Belt Conference, The Athletic, and many other regional and national clients.
Givens earned his Bachelor’s degree from the University of West Florida in journalism.
His family in Norman includes his wife, Cynder, their daughter, Ophelia Beth, their dogs, Toby and Hollie & their cats, Maxwell, Dexter and Argie.
Outside of work, he enjoys collecting sneakers, cooking and PC gaming.
