Meleani "Mele" Sjostrand enters her first season as a graduate assistant on Oklahoma head women's basketball coach Jennie Baranczyk's staff in 2026-27.

A graduate of USC with a bachelor's degree in business administration with an emphasis in leadership and innovation, Sjostrand focuses on basketball operations and AI innovation. She works closely with the Chief of Staff to support the program's day-to-day operations while assisting the coaching staff with recruiting and basketball operations.

Prior to arriving in Norman, Sjostrand served as head manager under head coach Lindsey Gottlieb at USC, helping the Trojans advance to back-to-back Elite Eight appearances.

Sjostrand is pursuing a master's degree in intercollegiate athletic administration at the University of Oklahoma.
