Jackie Bishop is in her second season as a graduate assistant with the Sooners after completing her collegiate career at Missouri Western.
2014 season: Bishop is completed one of the most successful playing careers in Missouri Western softball history....First Team NFCA All-American, Second Team Daktronics All-American, First Team All-MIAA selection, MIAA Pitcher of the Year, Daktronics First Team All-Region as well as Central Region Pitcher of the Year, NFCA First Team All-Central Region...holds MWSU softball career records for wins (96), strikeouts (977), innings pitched (828.0), appearances (142) complete games (105) and shutouts (29)...set single-season records for strikeouts (291) and shutouts (12) and is an integral member of a senior class that went 159-62 in its time dawning the Black and Gold...finished with a 26-10 overall record with a 1.36 ERA...26 wins is the most she had in a single season...finished leading the MIAA with 291 strikeouts...pitched 31 complete games with 12 shutouts and two saves this season...gave up just 4.4 hits per games while striking out 8.3 per game...threw three no-hitters this season and four in her career...was named the MIAA AstroTurf Pitcher of the Week four times this season and 11 times in her career...had a career best 17 strikeouts against Northeastern State in a 3-1 victory in the MIAA Tournament...had ten or more strikeouts in ten games...MWSU Female Student Athlete of the Year and MWSU Softball Student-Athlete of the Year...MIAA Academic Honor Roll (3.0 cumulative GPA).
2013 season: Named First Team All-MIAA for the second straight season and second team All-Central region...finished the season with a 21-8 record...made 35 appearances with 29 starts...pitched 24 complete games while compiling 219 strikeouts...had a 1.78 ERA while giving up just 139 hits and 66 runs...had 55 walks...passed Dana Wertz for career leader in wins with 61 on March 30 in a 3-1 victory against Pittsburg State, she now has 70 wins...became the career leader in strikeouts on March 23...MIAA Academic Honor Roll (3.0 cumulative GPA).
2012 season: Daktronics Softball All-America Second-Team, NFCA Second Team all-South Central Region, Daktronics NCAA Division II South Central Region Pitcher of the Year, First Team Daktronics NCAA Division II South Central Region, MIAA Pitcher of the Year and First Team all-MIAA...finished the season leading the MIAA with a 24-5 overall record and 1.42 ERA...made 29 appearances with 26 starts...pitched 26 complete games throwing eight shutouts...pitched 183 innings with 243 strikeouts...held her opponents to a .180 batting average and gave up just 37 earned runs... was named MIAA Pitcher of the Week four times...had a season high 16 strikeouts against Pittsburg State on April 6...struckout ten or more batters ten times which includes her first seven games.
2011 season: Named the MIAA Freshman of the year, also was selected to All-MIAA and Daktronics All-South Central Regional first teams...received MIAA Pitcher of the Week nods three times...threw a no-hitter against Southwest Baptist in the first game ever at the Spring Sports Complex...led the team with a 25-6 record, 1.22 ERA, .198 opponent's batting average, 200.2 innings and 224 strikeouts.
High School: She played her high school softball at Kirksville high school...first team All-conference and district in 2007, 2008 and 2009...first team All-State in 2008 and 2009...ranks first in the state of Missouri for the most strike outs in a season (380)...hold records for lowest ERA and scoreless consecutive innings...had 20 strikeouts in a 7 inning game.
