High School: Was drafted in the 34th Round of the 2016 Major League Baseball draft by the Chicago White Sox out of high school after hitting .443 with five home runs as a senior at Lapel High School.

Before OU: Spent two years at Weatherford College… played in nine games in 2017 before missing time with an injury… batted .262 with two home runs, three doubles, and 16 RBI for the Lima Locos in the Great Lakes Collegiate League in the summer of 2018.
