2025 National Girls & Women in Sports Day
Today, on National Girls and Women in Sports Day, we proudly honor the outstanding achievements and impact of our female student-athletes, coaches, and staff members at the University of Oklahoma. Their dedication, passion, and excellence continue to inspire and shape the legacy of OU Athletics.

Strong. Unapologetic. In Her Element.

This year's campaign highlights the idea that strength and individuality are deeply personal and look different for every athlete. It speaks to women thriving in both their sport and their self-expression—whether they’re dominating on the field, court, or mat, or confidently embracing their unique style and personality off of it. What does strength look like? It looks like her. In her element.

Six trailblazing women head coaches share a powerful message in their own words with the next generation of female athletes—you’re not just playing the game, you’re changing it.

GameChangHER

These achievements are possible because of the collective support from our Sooner Club members, whose investment of $57.2 million in women’s sports through the Lead On campaign continues to elevate our programs to new heights. Originally launched as the Women of Championship Excellence fund in the fall of 2021, the GameChangHER Fund provides a direct giving avenue for those passionate about celebrating our outstanding women’s programs. Sooner Nation's generosity has been vital in empowering our programs and paving the way for future generations.
