The University of Oklahoma and OU Athletics Department are excited to announce plans for a series of special public, ticketless events celebrating the Sooners' historic move to the Southeastern Conference that will officially take place Monday, July 1. Read on for ways to participate in the various celebrations presented by Riverwind Casino!

 | JUNE 30: RACE TO THE SEC 5K GLOW RUN

The 5K Glow Run is SOLD OUT. Fans who are not registered for the event are invited to join in the midnight festivities inside Gaylord Family — Oklahoma Memorial Stadium as OU officially enters the SEC!

Packet Pick Up:
Pre-race day bib pickup will be at the Sooner Shop on the west side of the football stadium at 1185 Asp Ave. on Friday, June 28 from 12-6 PM.
Race day bib pickup will be available starting at 9:30 PM in front of McCasland Field House.
**T-Shirts will be handed out after the race on July 1 – our first official day in the SEC! Your race bib will have a tag to turn in to receive your shirt.

Event Schedule:

  • 9:30 -10:45 PM | Packet pickup (race bib only)
  • 11:00 PM | National anthem and race start
  • 12:00 AM | Fireworks and T-shirt pickup immediately following your finish

 | MIDNIGHT MADNESS SALE

Fans will have their first opportunity to purchase officially licensed OU-branded SEC merchandise as part of a Midnight Madness Sale at a special OU x Jordan Brand shoebox pop-up shop located on Owen Field inside the stadium.

Celebrate the University of Oklahoma's historic first day as a member of the SEC! Join us for a full slate of fun activities for fans of all ages on OU's Norman campus, Oklahoma City and Tulsa!

*All activities inside Gaylord Family – Oklahoma Memorial Stadium unless otherwise noted and fans will be able to enter through gates 7 or 12. OU's Clear-bag and water-bottle policy will be in effect. Re-entry will be allowed.

  • 9:30 - 10 PM | Guest Speakers: SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey, OU President Joseph Harroz Jr. and OU Vice President and Director of Athletics Joe Castiglione
  • 10 PM | Drone Show

Sooner Shop & Hop Challenge
Discover Norman while shopping for new OU x SEC attire throughout the day on July 1. Sooner fans can engage in a 'passport challenge' using the Visit Norman app . In order to be eligible for a drawing, shoppers must check in (via the VisitNorman app) at participating businesses in at least three of the seven participating districts. The more check-ins, the better the chance of winning. Districts include Sooner Mall, Brookhaven Village, Lindsey Street, The Main District, Downtown Norman, Campus Corner and University North Park.
