OU Spirit Squads - University of Oklahoma

Welcome to the University of Oklahoma Spirit Program.

The OU Spirit Program is comprised of OU Cheer (Coed and All-Girl), OU Pom, our beloved mascots Boomer and Sooner, the RUF/NEKs and RUF/NEK Lil’ Sis organizations, and the historic Sooner Schooner. Together, these groups represent some of the most visible and cherished traditions at the University of Oklahoma.

Guided by the mission of developing champions today and leaders tomorrow, our program is built upon the principles of Sooner M.A.G.I.C. and a commitment to excellence both on and off the field.

The Spirit Program exists to support Oklahoma Athletics by creating an electric game-day atmosphere, generating crowd enthusiasm, and fostering meaningful connections with fans. Beyond athletic events, our members serve as ambassadors for the University, representing OU at alumni functions, community events, charitable initiatives, and campus traditions throughout the year.

As representatives of the University of Oklahoma, our students are committed to upholding the values, traditions, and standards of OU while displaying professionalism, integrity, and school pride in every interaction.

VISITING SPIRIT SQUAD
We welcome visiting spirit squads to Norman for Oklahoma Athletics events. If your team plans to attend a game, please contact Keegan.hubbard@ou.edu for information regarding credentials, game-day policies, and event logistics.

SPIRIT CAMPS
The University of Oklahoma and Varsity Spirit have partnered since 1953 to provide some of the nation's premier cheerleading, dance, and spirit camps on the OU campus.

Each summer, athletes from across the country come to Norman to develop their skills, build leadership abilities, and experience the tradition and excellence of Oklahoma Spirit.

APPEARANCE REQUESTS
Bring the spirit of Oklahoma to your next event!

The OU Cheer teams, OU Pom, Boomer and Sooner, the RUF/NEKs and Lil’ Sis organizations, and the historic Sooner Schooner are available for a variety of appearances throughout the year, including schools, community events, corporate functions, charitable organizations, and private events.

To request an appearance, please complete the appearance request form. Requests are reviewed based on availability, scheduling, and the nature of the event.
