  • Only school ever to produce first-round quarterback selections in consecutive NFL Drafts -- Baker Mayfield (2018, No. 1 overall); Kyler Murray (2020, No. 1 overall)
  • One of two schools to produce back-to-back No. 1 overall picks -- USC the other in 1968 (Ron Yary, OL) and '69 (O.J. Simpson, RB)
  • Only school to have a QB selected in the first two rounds three straight years -- Mayfield (2018); Murray (2019); Jalen Hurts (2020, 2nd Round, 53rd overall)
  • Kyler Murray is the only person ever selected in the first round of both the NFL and MLB drafts. He was taken No. 9 overall by the Oakland A's in 2018.
  • Only school ever to supply three of the first four picks in a single NFL Draft -- 2010 (Sam Bradford, No. 1; Gerald McCoy, No. 3; Trent Williams, No. 4). Three schools have had three of the first five: Notre Dame in 1946, Michigan State in 1967, USC in 1977).
  • 2010 also marked only the second time that one school produced the top pick in consecutive NBA and NFL Drafts (OU's Blake Griffin went first in the hoops draft). The other time it occurred was when Notre Dame produced Austin Carr (No. 1 in the 1971 NBA Draft) and Walt Patulski (No. 1 in the 1972 NFL Draft). Those drafts were separated by 309 days. Bradford and Griffin were separated by 301 days.
  • The franchise that has selected the most Sooners is the Cardinals at 40.
  • The only franchise that has never drafted an Oklahoma player is Houston, which began operations in 2002. Otherwise, the longest drought in drafting an OU player belongs to the Tennessee Titans, who took Brandon Jones in the 2005 third round.
