PHILADELPHIA -- At halftime of Oklahoma's second round NCAA Tournament game against San Diego State on Friday, the Sooners lead the Aztecs, 33-31 at the Wells Fargo Center.

Senior forward Romero Osby led the Sooners with nine points, while Isaiah Cousins chipped in six.

Oklahoma scored 12 consecutive points to open up a 23-14 lead after San Diego State took a 14-11 advantage, its largest of the first half.

Hield scored the first four points of the spurt, accounting for all of his first-half scoring, while senior Steven Pledger capped the run with a 3-pointer.

An 11-4 run by the Aztecs pulled OU's opponent within two points, but a timely Osby 3-pointer put the Sooners ahead 30-25.

OU went scoreless for a span of 3:49 before a Cousins 3-pointer opened up a 33-29 lead with 1:15 to go.

San Diego State scored the final bucket of the half.

Jamaal Franklin led SDSU with 10 points.

If the Sooners hold on to win, they'll face No. 15 seed Florida Gulf Coast on Sunday (time TBA). The Eagles upset second-seeded Georgetown prior to OU and San Diego State tipping off.
