Regarded as the best player in Oklahoma basketball history, Wayman Tisdale became the first OU athlete in any sport to have his or her jersey honored (1997). Three other Sooners have since been honored, as Alvan Adams (1998), Mookie Blaylock (2001) and Stacey King (2008) each saw their jerseys raised to the rafters inside Lloyd Noble Center.
