NORMAN – Oklahoma men's golf will make its 15th consecutive NCAA postseason appearance under head coach
Ryan Hybl, as the Sooners were selected as the No. 3 seed at the NCAA Corvallis Regional on Wednesday. The regional is set for May 18-20 at Trysting Tree Golf Club in Corvallis, Ore.
The selection marks the eighth straight season that Oklahoma has earned a top-three regional seed, the longest streak in program history. The Sooners, ranked No. 17 nationally, will look to continue one of the nation's premier postseason runs, having advanced out of regional play and into the NCAA Championships every year since 2011, the second longest active streak.
At each of the six NCAA Regional sites, the top five teams and the low individual on a non-advancing team will qualify for the NCAA Championships, scheduled for May 29-June 3 at Omni La Costa Resort and Spa in Carlsbad, Calif.
Oklahoma is one of 13 teams in the Corvallis field, joining top-seeded Arkansas, followed by Texas Tech, Charlotte, UCLA, Notre Dame, San Diego, Purdue, Georgia Southern, Oregon State (host), Liberty, Xavier and Sacramento State. Eight of the 13 teams are ranked in Clippd's top 50.
The Sooners own eight NCAA Regional championships in program history, the fourth-most nationally, and have won regional titles in each of the last two seasons. Under Hybl, Oklahoma has captured five regional crowns, winning in 2015, 2018, 2022, 2024 and 2025.
Led by All-America candidates
Ryder Cowan and
Jase Summy, Oklahoma enters postseason play with a 98-58-2 record and five top-five finishes this season. The Sooners also registered a record-setting victory at the Ka'anapali Classic, where they posted the lowest 54-hole team score in program history.
Oklahoma has cemented itself as one of college golf's premier programs over the last decade, winning the 2017 national championship, capturing 38 tournament titles since the start of the 2016-17 season and reaching NCAA match play seven times over the last 10 championships.
Tee times will be announced closer to the competition. Live scoring will be available via Clippd.
