NORMAN — Oklahoma Softball second baseman
Ailana Agbayani was drafted by the Chicago Bandits as the first pick in the third round of the 2026 Athletes Unlimited Softball League (AUSL) College Draft Monday, May 4. Agbayani brings the total to 12 Sooners currently in the AUSL, the most among all colleges nationwide.
The senior infielder was a 2025 Rawlings Gold Glove winner last season, earning just the second gold glove in program history after committing only two errors in 61 games. She was also tabbed to the 2025 SEC All-Defensive Team, earned all-region honors and College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-American Third Team selection.

Agbayani started her collegiate career with BYU, playing two seasons for the Cougars before joining Oklahoma ahead of the 2025 season. As a Sooner she has hit .345 with 81 runs, 10 home runs, 64 RBIs and 24 stolen bases.

Each team will play 25 games and for the first time all organizations will have a home city. This draft class features six pitchers, four infielders, three catches, three utility players and one outfielder. The season will get underway June 9 with games broadcast across various ESPN platforms throughout the season.
