Sooners Travel to Lake Wheeler Invite for Final Regular Season Regatta

NORMAN – The No. 25 Oklahoma rowing team will close out the 2026 regular season Friday and Saturday, April 24-25, at the Lake Wheeler Invitational, hosted by North Carolina and Duke at Lake Wheeler Park in Raleigh, North Carolina.
The Sooners will race seven crews — Varsity Eight, Second Varsity Eight, Third Varsity Eight, Fourth Varsity Eight, Varsity Four, Second Varsity Four and Third Varsity Four — against a deep field that includes No. 8 Virginia, No. 13 Duke, No. 14 Miami, No. 15 Alabama and No. 22 North Carolina, along with Boston College, Clemson, George Washington, Georgetown, High Point, Kansas, Lehigh, Louisville, Navy, Old Dominion, SMU, Tulsa, Villanova and West Virginia.
Oklahoma enters the weekend following a strong showing at the Orlando Invitational Regatta on Lake Pickett last week, where the Sooners recorded five top-three finishes and two race wins.
