Fatta, Estep Earn Pair of SEC Weekly Honors

February 10, 2026 | Women's Gymnastics

NORMAN – Sophomore Addison Fatta and freshman Mackenzie Estep were named the SEC Gymnast and Freshman of the Week, respectively, after helping lead the No. 1 Oklahoma women's gymnastics team to back-to-back scores of 198-plus on the weekend.

This is the first award of the season for Fatta and second career honor after being named a freshman of the week in 2025. Estep claimed her third freshman of the week honor in five weeks, the most of any team. The Sooners have now won five weekly awards, tied for most in the league with Florida.

The duo were instrumental in helping the Sooners to a pair of season bests on both vault (49.725) and floor (49.750), while also leading the squad to a pair of wins over top 10 SEC opponents. On vault, the pair combined for four marks of 9.95 or higher, while also tallying three scores of 9.95 or higher on floor.

Fatta had an exceptional weekend, picking up five event titles across a pair of meets. The sophomore claimed the all-around title against No. 4 Alabama with a 39.725, the highest score of the weekend in the SEC, while also earning the vault title with a career-high 9.975 and the floor title with a 9.95. At the Metroplex Challenge, Fatta once again claimed the all-around title with a 39.675 and the floor title with a career-high 9.975.

Across eight routines, Fatta recorded just one score under 9.90 and tallied nine top five finishes. Her 39.725 on Friday was her second all-around score of 39.700 or higher this season and she is one of just three athletes to reach that mark and the only SEC competitor to do it twice.

Estep had a career weekend as the first freshman in the nation to earn a perfect score. At Sunday's Metroplex Challenge, Estep earned her first career perfect 10 on vault, the first OU freshman since Jordan Bowers in 2022 to do so. Estep is one of just three SEC athletes with a perfect score this season.

Along with her perfect 10, the freshman added a career high on floor with a 9.95 on Sunday afternoon. Estep also made her all-around debut on Friday night against Alabama, where she earned a 39.300. The Auburn, Wash., native finished her double weekend with six top five finishes, including four finishes within the top two.

The pair will be back in action alongside their teammates on Friday as they take on No. 5 Florida in a road contest. The meet is set for a 5:45 p.m. CT start on ESPN2.
