Women's Tennis Reveals 2026 Spring Schedule

NORMAN – University of Oklahoma head women's tennis coach Audra Cohen announced the Sooners' 2026 spring schedule on Wednesday. 

OU's 2026 slate features a competitive mix of opponents with 10 matchups against teams that made the 2025 NCAA Tournament and 15 matches at Headington Family Tennis Center. 

The Sooners will open the season at home with a pair of doubleheaders, first against Tarleton State and Wyoming on Jan. 15, followed by Wichita State and Texas State on Jan. 17. 

OU will turn its attention to ITA Kickoff Weekend, hosting Stanford Yale, and Memphis on Jan. 23-24. The Sooners will face Memphis, while Stanford and Yale will square off on the other side of the bracket. The winners of each match will face off in Saturday's championship match for a berth to the ITA National Indoor Championships hosted by Illinois and Northwestern on Feb. 6-9. 

A road trip to Tulsa to take on the Golden Hurricane follows on Jan. 31. 

The Sooners return home on Feb. 22 where they will open SEC play against Arkansas before closing out the day with a non-conference matchup against Air Force. 

Conference action continues with a home contest against Auburn on Feb. 26, before OU begins a stretch three-consecutive road matchups, traveling to Florida (Feb. 28), Tennessee (March 6) and Kentucky (March 8). 

The Sooners opens a two-match homestand against Ole Miss on March 13, followed by showdowns with LSU and Oral Roberts on March 15. Oklahoma will then hit the road again to compete against Mississippi State (March 19) and Alabama (March 21). 

Cohen's team continues its home schedule with matchups against South Carolina on March 27 and Georgia on March 29. 

April opens with back-to-back road contests at Vanderbilt (April 2) and Missouri (April 4), before wrapping up the regular season in Norman with Texas A&M (April 9) and Texas (April 11). 

The 2026 SEC Women's Tennis Championship will be held at Headington Family Tennis Center in Norman April 15-19. 

NCAA Regionals are set for May 1-3, with winners advancing to Super Regionals May 10-11. Regionals and Super Regionals will take place at campus sites. Team Championships will be played at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex in Athens, Ga. 

The Sooners are coming off a 2025 season that saw them earn their 16th NCAA tournament appearance and sixth under Cohen. OU returns five players from that squad including All-SEC honorees Julia Garcia Ruiz and Salakthip Ounmuang, as well as Roisin Gilheany, Gloriana Nahum and Chloe Noel. Cohen and the Sooners welcomed freshmen Laura Brunkel, Evalina Laskevich and Edda Mamedova, in addition to Florida International transfer Oyinlomo Quadre to the squad for the 2025 fall season.
