Four Sooners Tabbed to Preseason All-SEC Softball Team

Garcia, McEnroe-Marinas, Parker and Pickering Selected to Squad
NORMAN — Four Sooners were tabbed to the 2026 All-Southeastern Conference (SEC) Preseason Softball Team, with Gabbie Garcia, Nelly McEnroe-Marinas, Ella Parker and Kasidi Pickering earning the nod.
Garcia and McEnroe-Marinas enter their sophomore and redshirt-sophomore seasons respectively, while Pickering and Parker return as the team's lone juniors. The Sooners four selections ranks second in the league, with 11 of 15 SEC teams earning at least one pick.
OU was also picked second in the 2026 SEC Softball Preseason Coaches' Poll, with the Sooners earning six first-place votes.
Garcia was a National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Third Team All-American last year, leading the Sooners with 20 home runs while taking home Second Team All-SEC and SEC All-Defensive Team honors.
McEnroe-Marinas was a First Team All-SEC pick in 2025 after hitting 11 home runs in conference play, tied for the most in the SEC. The third baseman started all 61 games at the hot corner and earned a spot on the NFCA Freshman of the Year Top 25 list.
Parker earned NFCA First Team All-American honors in 2025, as well as her second Women's College World Series (WCWS) All-Tournament pick after driving in all four of OU's runs in a 4-3 win against No. 7 Tennessee in the first game of the WCWS.
Pickering joined Parker on the NFCA First Team All-American squad last year, homering 18 times to go with a .392 batting average and a First Team All-SEC nod. The outfielder drove in 57 runs and drew 51 walks after spending much of the season at the leadoff spot.
