Baseball Announces Fall Schedule

NORMAN — Oklahoma Baseball announced its fall slate Friday, consisting of a five-game scrimmage series at L. Dale Mitchell Park in Norman.

The Sooners open the fall with an exhibition contest vs. Texas Tech in Norman on Saturday, Oct. 18, at 2:30 p.m. CT. The Sooners' only outside competition of the fall will be open to the public with limited concession options available for fans.

OU will then compete in a four-game intrasquad series to close out fall ball, the program's traditional Fall World Series with the team split into two rosters.

The scrimmages will be held Friday, Oct. 24, Sunday, Oct. 26, Tuesday, Oct. 28 and Friday, Oct. 31. First pitch will be at 4 p.m. CT for the games on the 24th, 28th and 30th, while the contest on the 26th will begin at 6 p.m. CT.

All scrimmages will be free to the public with restrooms available. Concessions will not be available. At this time, no live stream will be accessible for the five contests.

The 2026 Sooners return 15 student-athletes from a season ago, including SEC All-Tournament Team member Jaxon Willits, SEC All-Freshman honoree Kyle Branch and starters Drew Dickerson, Trey Gambill and Dayton Tockey, among others. Returning arms for head coach Skip Johnson include rising sophomores Michael Catalano and Jaden Barfield, juniors Cameron Johnson and Jason Bodin and senior Reid Hensley. The team welcomes 29 newcomers, including 18 transfers, this fall as team practice started this month.

The Southeastern Conference announced last week OU's 2026 conference slate for its second season in the SEC. The schedule features five road series and five home series at L. Dale Mitchell Park, hosting Texas A&M, Alabama, Missouri, Florida and Tennessee. Oklahoma's non-conference slate, game times and TV information will be released at a later date. Schedule is subject to change with TV scheduling.

The Sooners inaugural season in the SEC in 2025 included five conference series victories and the program's fourth straight and 42nd overall NCAA tournament appearance.
