OU Rowing Announces Fall Slate

September 24, 2025 | Rowing

NORMAN — University of Oklahoma head rowing coach Sarah Trowbridge announced the Sooners' fall schedule Wednesday. Oklahoma will compete in two regattas, one in October and one in November.

The Sooners begin their fall slate on Oct. 4 in Oklahoma City at the Head of the Oklahoma. The 2025 edition of the race marks OU's 15th appearance in the event. Last season, OU claimed nine top-three finishes at the event, including a team victory in the OG&E NightSprints.

Oklahoma travels to Princeton, N.J., on Nov. 2, for the Princeton Chase. The regatta, hosted by Carnegie Lake Rowing Association, is a prestigious and highly anticipated three-mile head race on Lake Carnegie, attracting many of the top collegiate rowing teams from across the United States. At their previous showing, OU's 1V8+ delivered a strong performance, clinching eighth in the W8+ among 64 collegiate crews. The 1V2- and 1V4+ also performed well, placing third among 47 crews.

Oklahoma rowing embarks on its 18th season and fourth under the direction of Trowbridge.
