NORMAN — University of Oklahoma Baseball head coach Skip Johnson announced the team's full 2026 season schedule Thursday, a slate consisting of 54 games, highlighted by contests at Globe Life Field, Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark and ONEOK Field and 29 home games at L. Dale Mitchell Park.
Oklahoma opens the season Feb. 13-15 at the Shriners Children's College Showdown at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, where the Sooners meet former conference foes Texas Tech, Oklahoma State and TCU. This will be the fifth time OU has competed in the season-opening event at Globe Life Field and the fifth year in which the Sooners have played games at the Texas Rangers' ballpark since its opening in 2020.
The Sooners play their home opener at L. Dale Mitchell Park against New Mexico State on Feb. 17, beginning an 18-game homestand. Oklahoma then hosts a series of games against Coppin State (Feb. 20-22), Arizona State (Feb. 24-25), and Gonzaga (Feb. 27-March 1), before welcoming familiar foe Dallas Baptist to Norman for a midweek matchup on March 3.
OU welcomes Santa Clara to Mitchell Park for a four-game series, March 5-8, prior to a midweek matchup with UT Arlington on March 10, before entering conference play.
Oklahoma is scheduled to meet eight Southeastern Conference opponents in 2026 that made the 2025 NCAA tournament, including four Super Regional teams and one team that competed in Omaha a season ago.
League play begins with Texas A&M at L. Dale Mitchell Park, March 13-15. The Sooners will face off against the Aggies for the first time since being Big 12 conference members in 2011.
Following the long homestand, the Sooners travel to Louisiana for a midweek matchup against Southeastern Louisiana on March 17, before heading to Baton Rouge for their first conference road series against LSU, March 19-21.
Oklahoma continues its road swing when it heads to Austin for the Red River series against Texas, March 26-28. The Sooners conclude the eight-game road trip with a Tuesday matchup against Oral Roberts in Tulsa on March 31.
Alabama comes to Norman April 2-4 for the Crimson Tide's first trip to Mitchell Park since 2018. OU then meets DBU in Dallas on April 6, and makes its inaugural trip to Nashville for a weekend series at Vanderbilt, April 9-11.
Bedlam rivals meet for the second time in 2026 on April 14 in Tulsa at ONEOK Field. It will be the first matchup between the programs at the Double A Tulsa Drillers' home field since a 7-6 OU walk-off win in 2022.
The Sooners return to SEC play by hosting Missouri at Mitchell Park, April 17-19, in the Tigers' first visit to Norman as conference foes since 2012, before hosting Oral Roberts on April 21.
Oklahoma heads to Auburn, Ala., April 24-26, for their first-ever series against the Tigers at Plainsman Park. OU closes its non-conference slate with an April 28 matchup against Texas Tech, in Frisco, Texas. It will be the second straight season the Sooners and Red Raiders have played a midweek contest in Frisco.
Florida visits Mitchell Park for the first time, May 1-3. The only other season in which the Sooners and Gators have met was in 2022, where OU was victorious in two of three meetings to win the NCAA Gainesville Regional en route to the College World Series.
OU closes its conference road slate with a trip to Fayetteville, Ark., May 8-10, for their first-ever road conference series against the Razorbacks.
Oklahoma closes its conference slate with a series against 2024 national champion Tennessee, May 14-16. The Sooners will host the Vols at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark in Oklahoma City, marking the first time OU has played in OKC since the 2021 Big 12 tournament. The teams will meet for the first time since OU beat UT in Arlington, Texas, on opening weekend in 2024 and will be meeting as conference opponents for the first time in program history.
OU Baseball season ticket holders will receive tickets to the Tennessee series as part of their season ticket package. Tickets for non-season ticket holders will go on sale later.
The 2026 SEC Tournament will be held May 19-14 in Hoover, Ala. NCAA Regionals are set for May 29-31, Super Regionals will be played June 5-8 and the College World Series will run June 12-22 at Charles Schwab Field in Omaha, Neb.
