NORMAN – University of Oklahoma head men's gymnastics coach Mark Williams announced Thursday the program's 2026 schedule, a slate that features four home meets inside McCasland Field House.
The Sooners, reigning MPSF Champions and third-place finishers at the 2025 NCAA Championships, begin the season on Jan. 17 at the Rocky Mountain Open in Colorado Springs, Colo. OU opens its home schedule on Saturday, Feb. 1 against Greenville at McCasland Field House, then welcomes Ohio State and Air Force on Saturday, Feb. 7. The Sooners play host to Nebraska on Feb. 28 and California on March 7
"We're excited for the 2026 season," Williams said. "We're happy to have four home competitions and looking forward to hopefully breaking our meet attendance record of almost 2,149 in McCasland on Alumni and Cleveland Night. We believe this will be a good schedule that will help put us in great position as we get to the end of the season to compete for a national championship."
The Sooners begin the season by traveling to Colorado Springs, Colo., for the annual Rocky Mountain Open on Jan. 17 at the Air Force Academy, then travel to Ann Arbor, Mich., to compete against reigning national champion Michigan on Jan. 24.
Oklahoma's meet against Ohio State and Arizona State on Feb. 7 will be Alumni Night and Cleveland Night. The OU men's and women's gymnastics programs will welcome alumni back for the weekend of Feb. 6-7. Last season, the Sooners set a program McCasland Field House attendance record of 2,149 on Alumni and Cleveland Night.
Oklahoma's meet against Ohio State and Air Force on Feb. 7 will be Alumni Night and Cleveland Night. The OU men's and women's gymnastics programs will welcome alumni back for the weekend of Feb. 6-7.
"Ohio State and Air Force should be a great tri-meet," Williams said. "Having alumni from our coaching staff with Ohio State head coach Rustam Sharipov and also Sergey Resnick and Mike Reid on the Air Force coaching staffs returning will be great. This will be a good opportunity to have all our program alumni come back and see how we're doing this year. Rocky Mountain Open is always one of the first meets in the year and has multiple teams with a more championship format. It's always tough to compete at Keen Arena in Michigan. They've had some really good teams in the past, and we'll have to be ready with our A-game for that competition."
OU then breaks for the 2026 USA Gymnastics Winter Cup, which will be held Feb. 21-22 in Louisville Ky. Individuals who qualify for the event will compete to secure spots at the 2026 U.S. Gymnastics Championships and selection to the U.S. Senior Men's National Team.
Following the Winter Cup break, Oklahoma returns home for two straight home meets. The Sooners compete against Nebraska on Feb. 28, and California on March 7 at McCasland Field House. OU will conclude the regular season by facing national runner-up Stanford in Palo Alto, Calif. on March 14.
The MPSF Championship will be held on April 4 in Berkeley, Calif., and the 2026 NCAA Championships will be held April 17-18 in Champaign, Ill.
Oklahoma will hold its annual Red/White intrasquad meet at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 13 at the Sam Viersen Gymnastics Center.
Admission to all OU men's gymnastics home meets during the 2026 season will be free.
