NORMAN — The Oklahoma women's tennis team will close out its fall season at the 2025-26 NCAA Individual Championships this week at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Fla.

Senior Julia Garcia Ruiz, a two-time ITA All-American who advanced to the semifinals at last year's NCAA Individual Championships, will represent OU in the singles field once again. Redshirt junior Roisin Gilheany and sophomore Gloriana Nahum earned a spot in the doubles draw.

Garcia Ruiz kicks off the championships on Tuesday with a match against No. 74 Gabriella Broadfoot of NC State, while Gilheany and Nahum will face Maryland's No. 47 Ema Kovacevic/Emma Ghirardato on Wednesday. Cracked Racquets will provide cross-court coverage of the entire event, and each match will be streamed on ESPN+. Live scoring will be available through iOnCourt.

All matches are best-of-three sets. No-ad scoring and a seven-point tiebreaker (first to seven points, must win by two points) at six-games-all will be used for all matches.

Garcia Ruiz enters the tournament with an 8-2 overall mark this fall. The All-SEC Second Team honoree punched her ticket with a 4-6, 6-4, 6-1 victory over Kansas' No. 103 Kyoka Kubo in the semifinals of the ITA Central Regional Championships in Norman on Oct. 20. The Morelia, Mexico, native is currently ranked as the No. 13 singles player heading into the week.

Gilheany and Nahum enter the championships ranked No. 27 in doubles. The duo clinched their spot by defeating No. 1 ranked Reese Brantmeier and Alanis Hamilton of North Carolina, 6-7 (3), 7-6 (5), 10-4 in the semifinals of the ITA All-American Championships on Sept. 27. The pair has yet to drop a match this fall, carrying a perfect 6-0 record into Orlando.
