NORMAN — Oklahoma freshman
Evans Biwott collected his second SEC Freshman Runner of the Week honor Tuesday.
Biwott's astounding performance at the Princeton Fall Classic earned him his second win of the season, and helped the team to a second-place finish, besting #11 Syracuse and #29 Boise State. The freshman needed just a 22:57.4 in the men's 8K to complete the course first, his best time yet.
"I am so proud and happy for Evans for winning another SEC weekly honor after his outstanding performance this past weekend," said co-head coach Jay Weaver. "He's putting together a remarkable season and I'm excited to see what he can accomplish at the SEC championships next week."
The Sooners travel to Knoxville, Tenn., for the 2025 SEC Cross Country Championship next Friday, Oct. 31.
