FORT WORTH, Texas — University of Oklahoma gymnastics rising junior
Fuzzy Benas and alumnus Yul Moldauer were selected to the 2024-25 Senior Men's National Team and qualified to the 2024 U.S. Olympic Team Trails, USA Gymnastics announced Saturday night following the U.S. Gymnastics Championships at Dickies Arena.
U.S. Olympic Team Trials for gymnastics will be held June 27-30 in Minneapolis, Minn.
Benas placed 11th in the all-around at U.S. Championships this weekend, compiling a 164.500 total (81.600 on day one and 82.900 on day two). He finished seventh on pommel horse (27.650), 10th on floor exercise (27.900), 13th on high bar (26.500), 14th on parallel bars (28.000, which included a 14.350 on Saturday), 15th on still rings (27.050) and scored 27.400 on vault.
Moldauer finished fourth in the all-around with a two-day total of 168.200 (82.450 and 84.750) and won his third parallel bars national title with a 30.800 total (15.400 on both days). He has now won five U.S. national gold medals. Moldauer also won silver on floor exercise (29.300) and placed seventh on rings (28.100), 11th on high bar (26.550), 12th on pommel horse (26.260) and totaled 27.200 on vault.

Moldauer earned automatic qualification to Olympic Trials with his fourth-place finish in the all-around at U.S. Championships, while Benas was selected to the national team and Olympic Trials by USA Gymnastics.
