Nine Sooners Earn MPSF All-Academic Honors

NORMAN — — Nine University of Oklahoma men's gym student-athletes were named to the 2024 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Men's Gymnastic All-Academic Team, the conference office announced Thursday.

To qualify, student-athletes must carry a 3.0 cumulative GPA or higher and have participated in at least 50% of the team's competitions this season. Freshmen and transfers in their first year at an institution are not eligible. 

Seven of Oklahoma's honored gymnasts were nominated with a 3.50 GPA or better, and junior Matthew Burgoyne and sophomore Ignacio Yockers were nominated with a 4.0 GPA.
