NORMAN – After posting back-to-back marks of 198.300-plus, including a 198.650 on March 1, the Oklahoma women's gymnastics team remained the No. 1 team in the nation for the ninth consecutive week. The Sooners boast an NCAA record National Qualifying Score of 198.420, beating their mark of 198.355 set in 2023.
NQS is based on a team's six best regular season scores, three of which must be away. The overall high score is eliminated, and the five remaining scores are averaged. NQS scores are used to determine seeding for NCAA regional competition.

The top five remained the same with a slight shuffling to the order. California (197.950) jumped back to No. 2, followed by LSU (197.885) at No. 3. Florida (197.765) moved up to No. 4 and Utah (197.725) rounded out the top five.
On the events, the Sooners are ranked No. 1 on vault (49.505), bars (49.660) and beam (49.700) and No. 2 on floor (49.630). The Sooners tied their program record on beam once again with a 49.800 on Friday and OU is the only school with a mark of 49.800-plus on two events (bars – 49.825). OU is also the only program to post a 49.800 on balance beam multiple times in a season.
Seven Sooners earned a total of 21 individual rankings in the first week of NQS with at least two gymnasts ranked in the top 10 on every event and in the all-around. On vault and beam, five of six athletes from this weekend's lineup are ranked in the top 25. Every all-around athlete is ranked on at least two events.
All four all-around competitors are ranked in the top 13 in the all-around. Jordan Bowers is second with a 39.725 NQS, Faith Torrez is No. 8 (39.660), Katherine LeVasseur is No. 9 (39.655) and Audrey Davis is No. 12 (39.630).
Five Sooners are ranked on vault, let by LeVasseur at No. 6 (9.920). Bowers and Torrez are tied at No. 8 (9.915), while Hannah Scheible is tied at No. 15 (9.900). Keira Wells is tied at No. 22 with a 9.890 NQS.
On the uneven bars, four Sooners are ranked with Bowers and Davis tied at No. 1 (9.970). Ragan Smith is tied at No. 15 (9.920) and LeVasseur is tied at No. 21 (9.910).
Five Sooners are also ranked on beam with Smith coming in at No. 1 with a 9.990 NQS. Torrez is No. 3 (9.965) and Bowers and Davis are tied at No. 11 (9.930). LeVasseur is No. 16 (9.915).
A trio of athletes are ranked on floor with Bowers coming in at No. 3 (9.955), Torrez at No. 9 (9.945) and Smith at No. 20 (9.925).
Up next for the Sooners is a dual meet at No. 12 Arkansas on Sunday, March 10, at 3:45 p.m. CT in Fayetteville, Ark.
