NORMAN – Oklahoma men's gymnastics freshman
Tyler Flores was named the MPSF Freshman of the Week after notching a career high and scoring 14-plus on two events in Oklahoma's meet at Stanford on Saturday, the conference office announced Tuesday.
Flores set a career high on parallel bars with a 14.050 and notched a 14.200 on vault and a 13.600 on pommel horse to lead the Sooners in their tri-meet at Stanford/against California. The Mountain House, Calif., product led off OU's p-bars rotation by executing a clean routine and sticking the dismount for his first 14-plus score on the event.
