NORMAN — University of Oklahoma head wrestling coach
Roger Kish announced the Sooners' 2024-25 schedule Tuesday.
The 14-meet regular season slate is highlighted by four home duals vs. Big 12 opponents, including a Dec. 13 showdown with Bedlam rival Oklahoma State in Norman.
"We are very excited about this upcoming season," Kish said. "Our staff has added a good balance of young talent and veteran leadership to the lineup. We'll face some strong competition that should get us ready for the NCAA Championships."
The Sooners open on Nov. 1 with the Crimson and Cream Dual at historic McCasland Field House, which will be the official home to OU's home duals in the 2024-25 season for the 97th year.
Year two of the Kish era officially debuts on Nov. 8 with a dual at Air Force.
Tournament play begins on. Nov. 17, as OU heads to Brookings, S.D., for the Warren Williamson Daktronics Invitational hosted by South Dakota State.
Oklahoma competes for the first time at home on Nov. 23 when Wyoming comes to Norman for the first time since 2017.
The Sooners then travel to Bakersfield, Calif., to compete in the Roadrunner Open (Nov. 24).
A three-dual homestand awaits OU in December as Central Michigan (Dec. 6) and Oklahoma State (Dec. 13) visit McCasland Field House. The home swing continues as the Sooners host CSU Bakersfield, Chattanooga and Neosho in a quad dual on Dec. 21. A location for the quad meet will be announced at a later date.
The squad will open the new year at the Southern Scuffle in Chattanooga, Tenn., on Jan. 4-5. It will mark the second consecutive season Oklahoma will start the year at the event, and the Sooners will look to improve on two individual titles and a runner-up team finish from the 2023 tournament.
The conference slate resumes with a dual against West Virginia in Norman on Jan. 17. The Sooners follow that up with a weekend trip through Iowa to face defending Big 12 champion Iowa State in Ames on Jan. 24 before a trip to Cedar Falls to square off with Northern Iowa on Jan. 25.
A home dual against Missouri (Feb. 1) finalizes the Sooners' home competition for the year. OU closes the regular season at Arizona State (Feb. 16).
The Big 12 Championships, which will be held March 8-9, return to Tulsa, Okla., and the BOK Center for the ninth consecutive season.
The 2025 NCAA Championships, slated for March 20-22, will be held at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pa.
