NORMAN – After posting the highest score in the nation with a 197.850 during opening weekend, the Oklahoma women's gymnastics team remained the No. 1 team in the nation.

The Sooners were one of just four schools to post a 197-plus score in the first week of competition. Coming in at No. 2 is Utah with a 197.300, followed by Missouri at No. 3 with a 197.150 and Alabama at No. 4 with a 197.125. LSU rounded out the top five wit ha 196.975.

The Sooners are also ranked No. 1 on a pair of events. OU posted an incredible 49.625 on the uneven bars to lead the nation, while also posting a 49.475 on beam. The Sooners are ranked No. 2 on vault with a 49.350, just narrowly behind LSU's 49.375. On floor, the Sooners check in at No. 5 with a 49.400.

Individually, seven Sooners earned 17 individual rankings, including the entire bars lineup being ranked in the top 25. Four Sooners are ranked in the all-around, with three in the top 10.

Faith Torrez checks in at No. 2 in the all-around with a career-best 39.625 during the first meet of the season. Torrez is also ranked in the top five on bars and beam at No. 4 (9.95) and No. 3 (9.95), respectively.

Jordan Bowers is ranked on all four events and in the all-around. Bowers posed a 39.600 to rank fourth in the all-around. The junior is also No. 9 on vault (9.9), No. 21 on bars (9.9) and beam (9.875) and No. 6 on floor (9.925).

Audrey Davis enters the second weekend of competition ranked ninth in the all-around with a 39.500. Davis is No. 21 on both bars (9.9) and beam (9.875). Katherine LeVasseur is 16th in the all-around with a 39.400 and No. 13 on bars (9.925).

Ragan Smith is ranked on a pair of events, earning a spot at No. 3 on beam (9.95) and No. 4 on bars (9.95). Danae Fletcher is No. 21 on bars (9.9) and freshman Hannah Scheible debuted in the rankings at No. 9 on vault (9.9).

The Sooners will return to the floor this Saturday, Jan. 13, for the Sprouts Farmer's Market Collegiate Quad against No. 2 Utah, No. 5 LSU and No. 12 UCLA. The meet will air at 3 p.m. CT on ABC.

The home slate is set to begin on Friday, Jan. 26, against Denver inside Lloyd Noble Center.
