Led by third-year head coach
Jennie Baranczyk, the Sooners will look to appear in the program's third consecutive NCAA Tournament. In 2023, Oklahoma won a share of its first Big 12 regular season championship since 2009, compiling a 14-4 conference record.
The 2024 conference slate features home-and-away matchups with four of OU's six most-played series in program history: Oklahoma State (114 GP; OU leads 67-47), Kansas (79 GP; OU leads 46-33), Kansas State (75 GP; OU leads 45-30) and Texas (66 GP; Texas leads 39-27). A final home-and-away swing with Big 12 newcomer Cincinnati, the first ever meetings between the teams, will round out OU's five-team slate that comprises 10 league games.
Away-only trips to newcomers BYU and Houston, along with Iowa State and West Virginia paired with hosting duties vs. Baylor, TCU, Texas Tech and newcomer UCF complete the conference schedule.
Last week, Oklahoma announced it would take part in the second annual Fort Myers Tip-Off in Fort Myers, Fla., where Baranczyk's team will take on Princeton and Tennessee on Nov. 23 and Nov. 25, respectively. Earlier in the summer, it was revealed the Sooners would take on North Carolina in the Jumpman Invitational in Charlotte, N.C. on Dec. 19. Last season, in the inaugural Jumpman Invitational, OU routed Florida 95-79.
The remainder of the 2023-24 Oklahoma women's basketball schedule, including dates and times for Big 12 games, will be released at a later date.
