Danielle Sievers were named to the 2023 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District At-Large Women's Team, the association announced on Tuesday.
Trautman, LeVasseur and Sievers advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot, with first-, second- and third-team Academic All-America honorees announced on June 22. To qualify for the Academic All-District and All-America teams, student-athletes must have a cumulative 3.50 GPA and have competed in at least 50% of the team's competitions.
Trautman recently graduated with a degree in health and exercise science and minor in psychology. She finished her academic career with a 3.79 cumulative GPA and a perfect 4.0 during the Spring and Fall semesters in 2022. The Champlin, Minn., native capped off her illustrious OU career with the national vault title at the 2023 NCAA Championships, four Big 12 individual championships and 12 All-America honors (10 NCAA, two regular season). In the classroom, Trautman was named to the Academic All-Big 12 Team and earned WCGA Academic All-America honors each of the past four seasons.
LeVasseur and Sievers are both majoring in health and exercise science and hold a pair of 3.87 cumulative GPAs. A staple in OU's vault lineup, LeVasseur was named the 2023 Big 12 Event Specialist of the Year and finished the regular season first in the conference and fourth nationally. LeVasseur earned three perfect 10s this past season, including the top regional score (tied) in program history at the NCAA Norman Regional final on April 1. Sievers was named the Big 12 co-vault champion and finished the regular season nationally on vault (eighth) and bars (T-21st). Both were named to the WCGA first-team All-America team on vault, while LeVasseur earned NCAA first-team All-America honors on vault and Sievers second-team All-America honors on floor at the 2023 NCAA Championships.
In the classroom, LeVasseur joined
Emma LaPinta as the only Sooner gymnasts to earn Big 12 Winter Scholar-Athlete of the Year. The San Antonio native was named to the Academic All-Big 12 Team and earned WCGA Academic All-America honors each of the past two seasons. During her freshman campaign, Sievers earned WCGA Academic All-America honors and was named to the 2022 Academic All-Big 12 Rookie Team. The Gary, S.D., native, was also named to the 2023 Academic All-Big 12 first-team.
