Sooners Set For Athens Regional

NORMAN – The Oklahoma men's tennis team is set for its 13th consecutive NCAA tournament appearance, as the Sooners earned a 2023 bid on Monday.

OU will head to the Athens regional hosted by the University of Georgia.

The Sooners will open the tournament against NC State (15-9) on Saturday, May 6 at 9 a.m. CT while host Georgia (20-6) and FGCU (15-8) will square off on the other side of the bracket at noon. The first and second rounds will feature four teams playing in a single-elimination format. The winners will fight for a spot at super regionals on Sunday, May 7 at noon.

2023 marks OU's sixth NCAA appearance under Crowell. The Sooners have advanced to the NCAA second round or further in each of the last nine seasons.

Singles and doubles selections and brackets will be revealed Tuesday, May 2.

The 2023 NCAA Championships will take place May 17-27 in Orlando, Fla.
