Sooners on Top After First NQS Ranking

February 20, 2023 | Women's Gymnastics

NORMAN – The Oklahoma women's gymnastics team is ranked No. 1 in the nation for the seventh consecutive week. This week marks the first time this season rankings have been determined by National Qualifying Scores (NQS).

NQS is based on a team's six best regular season scores, three of which must be away. The overall high score is eliminated, and the five remaining scores are averaged. NQS scores are used to determine seeding for NCAA regional competition, which the Sooners will be hosting in Lloyd Noble Center from March 29-April 1.
