Men's Gym Intrasquad Meet Set for Saturday

NORMAN – Fans are invited to get a first look at the 2024 Oklahoma men's gymnastics team at the program's annual red-white intrasquad scrimmage at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9 at Sam Viersen Gymnastics Center. Admission is free.

For fans planning to attend the intrasquad meet, the Sam Viersen Gymnastics Center is located in Norman, north of the Lloyd Noble Center near the intersection of South Jenkins Avenue and Imhoff Road. Parking is available across Imhoff Rd. in the LNC lot. To protect new carpet and equipment in the recently updated Sam Viersen facility, fans in attendance will be asked to wear provided shoe coverings.

Free pizza will be provided in the conference room on the south end of the Viersen Center while supplies last. No outside food or drinks will be permitted inside the facility.

Fans can pick up the 2024 poster and the team will sign autographs after the meet. The 2024 promotions schedule will also be revealed on Saturday, and as a preview, fans in attendance can enter a raffle to win one promotional item giveaway that will be featured during the season.

Saturday's red-white intrasquad meet will feature gymnast introductions, and split-squad competition on all six event apparatuses with live judging.

The Sooners, which are entering their 25th season under head coach Mark Williams, have advanced to the NCAA finals for 24 consecutive years and won nine national titles in that time.

Oklahoma returns 13 gymnasts from the 2023 roster, including senior captains Jack Freeman and Dan Simmons, as well as senior Zach Nunez, juniors Emre Dodanli, Brigham Frentheway, Nikolai Kolesnikov and Cailen Walker, redshirt sophomore Fuzzy Benas, sophomores Kelton Christiansen, Adriel Perales-Valencia, Mac Seyler and Ignacio Yockers and redshirt freshman Leo Koike. OU welcomed 10 newcomers, including seniors Matthew Burgoyne and Zachary Marckx and freshmen Arthur Ballon, Max Bereznev, Colin Flores, Tyler Flores, Emmitt Glover, Tas Hajdu, Nico Hamilton and Brandon Zepeda-Orth.

2024 Season Tickets

Tickets for the 2024 Oklahoma men's gymnastics season are on sale. Fans can purchase new season or single-meet tickets through SoonerSports.com or by calling the OU Athletics Ticket Office at 405-325-2424.

Season tickets are available for $25 for general admission and $15 for youth (ages 6-18) and seniors (55+), while single-meet tickets are on sale for $7 for adults and $5 for youth/seniors. Group packages are available for groups of 10 or more at a discounted price by contacting the ticket office. OU faculty and staff, and letterwinners, can also purchase season tickets for $15.
