NORMAN — The Oklahoma men's golf team returns to action this week at the Inverness Intercollegiate in Toledo, Ohio, for a 54-hole tournament on Sept. 26-27 at Inverness Club.

Monday's rounds will be streamed live on YouTube, and Tuesday's final round will be broadcast live on ESPN+.

The 16-team tournament, which hosts 10 teams either ranked or receiving votes in the latest coaches poll, will give the Sooners their second test of the season. The No.4-ranked Sooners shattered school records in a runner-up finish at the season-opening Frederica Cup, where it accumulated a 5-1 head-to-head record against teams in the top 100. Another strong showing at Inverness would move the Sooners closer to the nation's top spot.

After playing the untraditional six-count-five format at Frederica, the Sooners return to the traditional five-count-four scoring format at Inverness. The two-day, 54-hole event tees off on Monday morning when the teams will play 36 holes, followed by 18 more on Tuesday.

The Oklahoma lineup remains the same for the second tournament in a row. Redshirt senior Patrick Welch is head coach Ryan Hybl's first bag in the lineup, followed by Drew Goodman, a national All-Freshman selection last season. In the third slot is Jase Summy, who broke Oklahoma's 54-hole scoring record for a freshman in his debut (201, -15) at Frederica. Jake Holbrook, a 2022 U.S. Amateur match play qualifier, returns to the lineup after a T19 finish at the Frederica Cup. Redshirt sophomore Stephen Campbell Jr. rounds out the Crimson and Cream contingent.
