NORMAN – The Oklahoma baseball team will open the 2022 NCAA Men's College World Series against No. 5 seed Texas A&M at 1 p.m. Friday at Charles Schwab Field Omaha in Omaha, Neb. The game will be televised on ESPN.
The Sooners (42-22) and Aggies (42-18) play the first game of the tournament. The winner between OU and TAMU will face the winner of the Texas-Notre Dame matchup at 6 p.m. Sunday, while the losing teams will meet at 1 p.m. Sunday. The Longhorns and Fighting Irish meet at 6 p.m. Friday.
The opposite side of the eight-team MCWS bracket is comprised of Stanford, Arkansas, Ole Miss and either Oregon State or Auburn. The winners of each bracket will meet in a best-of-three Men's College World Series Finals June 25-27.
Oklahoma is making its 11th appearance in the Men's College World Series and first since 2010. The Sooners won national titles in 1951 and 1994.
