NORMAN  – Oklahoma rowing is primed for postseason competition as they travel to Austin, Texas on Sunday for the 2022 Big 12 Rowing Championship.

The regatta will be held on Walter E. Long Lake starting at 9:00 a.m. CT. All six races will be held in sequence, followed by the awards presentation. The entire slate of events will be streamed on Big 12 Now on ESPN+.

The Sooners are joined in Austin by fellow conference members Kansas, Kansas State, No. 1 Texas, West Virginia and conference affiliate programs Alabama and No. 20 Tennessee.

Teams will run five races for scoring to determine the conference champion, a first, second and third eight as well as a first and second four. The Sooners last won the conference title in 2014 when they took their second straight championship and qualified for the NCAA Championship.

OU will not compete in the exhibition third four race that will start the day.

The team with the highest combined score among the three automatic qualifier races – 1V8, 2V8 and 1V4 – will receive the Conference's AQ to the NCAA Championship.
