Sooners Notch 10 Regular Season All-America Honors

NORMAN – Six different Oklahoma men's gymansts tallied ten regular season All-America honors from the Collegiate Gymanstics Association (CGA) on Thursday.

Freshman Fuzzy Benas notched the most for the Sooners with four accolades (VT, PB, SR, AA). Benas' four tied Michigan junior Paul Juda for the most by any men's gymnast this season.

Sophomore Zach Nunez and freshman Raydel Gamboa tallied honors in the all-around. Nunez also secured honors on pommel horse.

Senior Vitaliy Guimaraes notched the status on pommel horse, his third career regular season All-America distinction after securing floor and vault honors in the shortened 2020 season.

Junior Jack Freeman and redshirt junior Cesar Gracia each tallied a high bar honor.

The Sooners face No. 3 Michigan, No. 6 Ohio State, No. 7 Navy, No. 10 Air Force and No. 11 Army Friday night in the NCAA Qualifiers at 7 p.m. CT at the Lloyd Noble Center in Norman, Oklahoma.
