NORMAN – The Oklahoma women's gymnastics team shattered its program record on the uneven bars and Jordan Bowers earned her first career perfect score as the No. 2 Sooners topped No. 1 Michigan, 198.475-197.900.

The mark tied the second-highest score in program history and was just .025 off the program record of 198.500 set in 2015. On the uneven bars, the Sooners tallied a 49.825 to set the program record by an entire tenth.

Bowers captured the vault title with her first career perfect 10. A quartet of Sooners shared the uneven bars title with Katherine LeVasseur, Karrie Thomas, Bowers and Audrey Davis all earning 9.975s. Carly Woodard took home the beam title with a 9.95. On floor, Danae Fletcher earned the event title with a near-perfect 9.975. Michigan's Natalie Wojcik earned the all-around title with a 39.725.

The Sooners took home the event titles on bars with a 49.825, beam with a 49.525 and floor with a 49.675. The two teams shared vault with matching 49.450s.

OU opened the meet with a 49.450 on vault, highlighted by Bowers' perfect score and the debut of an upgraded vault from Danae Fletcher. Allie Stern notched a 9.850 in the No. 2 spot, followed by Bowers' perfect score. LeVasseur added a 9.825 along with Danielle Sievers on their Yurchenko 1.5s. Anchoring with a Yurchenko 1.5 for the first time ever was Fletcher for a career-high 9.95. Fletcher, who only started training the vault this week, stuck her vault cold to close out the opening rotation.

The Sooners shattered the previous program record of 49.725 on bars with an incredible 49.825 in the second rotation. Not only did they set a new program record, but the Sooners also tied the NCAA record.

Starting off was Sievers with an incredible stuck dismount for a 9.925. LeVasseur set a career-high with a 9.975 in the No. 2 spot, followed by a 9.925 from Ragan Smith. On her senior night, Karrie Thomas earned a career best 9.975 as she nailed her double layout dismount for the Sooners third stick of the night. Bowers continued her strong night, following up her 10 with a near-perfect 9.975 as she continued the run of stuck dismounts for OU. Anchoring was Davis, who's unique release move and upgraded dismount earned her a near-perfect 9.975 of her own.

Leading off beam was Jenna Dunn who was steady and precise as always for a 9.875 as she stuck her gainer full dismount. Up second in the lineup was Olivia Trautman who delivered a strong performance for a 9.825. LeVasseur wrapped up her three-event night with a gorgeous routine and a stuck dismount for a 9.875 in the No. 3 spot. Davis kept the stuck dismounts going as she nailed hers for a 9.9. For the final time in the LNC, beam specialist and fifth-year senior Carly Woodard showed off her impeccable scale and stuck landing for a 9.950. Anchoring was Smith with another stuck dismount for a 9.925.

OU closed out strong to take home their 59th consecutive home victory and keep the senior class undefeated. Bell Johnson started the final rotation off with a bang and a 9.9. For her final performance at home, Woodard nailed her floor routine to tie her career high with a 9.925. Fletcher had the floor performance of her career, nailing her passes and showing off her strong choreography for a near-perfect 9.975. In her second time competing the event, Sievers stuck her double back and double pike for a career best 9.925. Bowers finished off an absolutely exceptional night with a career-high tying 9.95.

The Sooners will be back in action Sunday for a quad-meet at Texas Woman's. The meet is slated for a 2 p.m. CT start in Denton, Texas, and will feature host TWU, Air Force and Southeast Missouri.
