OKLAHOMA CITY — No. 1 Oklahoma (22-0) took two on the first day of the Hall of Fame Classic in Oklahoma City, beating Sam Houston 10-1 and Indiana 15-1 in run-rule fashion.

OU hit a combined four home runs on the day, led by sophomore Alyssa Brito's two-homer game vs. Sam Houston (9-17). It was Brito's first career game with two blasts. Alo and Elam went yard in game two to contribute to the 15-run outburst versus the Hoosiers (13-6).

In the circle, redshirt senior Hope Trautwein and freshman Jordy Bahl continued to impress. Trautwein struck out 12 in the first game before Bahl K'ed 10 in the nightcap.

In game one, in addition to Brito and Trautwein's performances, eight Sooners registered a hit with six bringing in at least one run. Brito finished 2-for-3 with four RBIs while junior Rylie Boone went 1-for-2 with a pair of runs batted in.

OU put up six runs in the second inning on six hits, including a pair of triples from senior Grace Lyons and sophomore Tiare Jennings. Lyons extended her career-best hit streak to 18 games while Jennings' RBI triple was the first triple of her career.

Brito went yard in consecutive at-bats in the second and third inning, before a pair of sac-fly RBIs from junior Kinzie Hansen and freshman Sophia Nugent brought OU's final tally to 10 runs.

The Bearkats plated their only run in the top of the fifth on a bases-loaded walk.

Trautwein fanned 12 for her second consecutive game with double-digit strikeouts while surrendering one hit, no runs and two walks. Junior McAdoo gave up SHSU's lone run on the bases-loaded walk.

The Sooners turned around to face Indiana and tied their season-high run total with 15 against the Hoosiers courtesy of homers from Alo and Elam and seven hits from the offense.

Oklahoma put up six runs in first inning and an additional seven in the fourth after adding a pair in the third.

Alo hit her 97th career blast on a two-run shot to center in the first, while a bases-loaded walk to sophomore Jayda Coleman, an RBI single from Brito and fielder's choice to Taylon Snow plated four more OU runs in the frame.

After a two-run blast from Elam in the third, her fourth of the season, OU manufactured seven runs on three hits and an error in the fourth with RBIs from Elam, Jennings, Snow, senior Grace Green and junior Mackenzie Donihoo.

Indiana scored their only run of the game on a solo shot in the fifth to bring the final to 15-1, OU. It was just the fourth home run given up by Sooner pitchers in 2022.

Bahl struck out 10 in five innings, giving up one run on three hits and no walks.

Six Sooners recorded a hit vs. IU and eight brought in at least one run, led by Elam's three RBIs. Six Sooners registered two-plus runs batted in.

The top-ranked Sooners play two more in OKC on Saturday, facing off against San Diego at 1:30 p.m. CT and Houston at 6:30 p.m.
