Note: The baseball Halloween scrimmage event has been rescheduled for Sunday, Oct. 30 at 3 p.m. due to expected inclement weather conditions on Friday, Oct. 28. The information below has been edited to reflect the change of date and time.
NORMAN – The Oklahoma baseball team invites fans to attend a Halloween-themed intrasquad scrimmage on Sunday, Oct. 30 at L. Dale Mitchell Park. The event will begin at 3 p.m., admission is free and concessions will be open.
Kids 12 and under are invited to trick-or-treat with student-athletes from a variety of Sooner sports teams and OU SAIL beginning at 2:30 p.m. The baseball team will hold a conventional intrasquad scrimmage – not in costume – beginning at 3 p.m. Following the scrimmage, kids will be able to trick or treat on the field with the OU baseball players. The movie "Hocus Pocus" will be shown on the video board, and fans are invited to watch the movie on the outfield turf.
Fans are encouraged to attend in costume, and a costume contest will determine the best-dressed fan at the event. The winner will receive an OU Athletics prize pack. Fans will also be able to obtain information about and purchase 2023 season tickets, and youth aged 12 and under will be able to register for membership for the Sooner Jr. Kids Club.
Additional Costume Information
Fans in costume must be able to remove any mask, hood, helmet, or any other element of the costume that obscures the face prior to security screening. Real or realistic-looking weapons are prohibited. Costumes should be family appropriate and without offensive language or content.
