Sooners Collect CGA Academic Honors

NORMAN – Seven University of Oklahoma men's gymnasts were named College Gymnastics Association All-America scholar-athletes, the CGA announced Thursday. The Sooners were also named an honorable mention as one of CGA's top academic teams.

Garnering First Team All-America Scholar-Athlete honors for holding perfect 4.0 grade point averages last season was freshman Noah Giordano, sophomore David Sandro and redshirt senior Matt Wenske.

Also collecting first team status for attaining between a 3.60-3.99 GPA was freshman Daniel Simmons, sophomore Alan Camillus, junior Morgan Seyler and redshirt junior Mason Menser.

Five of the Seven Sooners also collected both MPSF All-Academic and Academic All-Big 12 At-Large Team honors in 2021 (Camillus, Menser, Sandro, Seyler and Wenske).
