Five Sooners Named ITA Scholar-Athletes

NORMAN – Five Sooners have been named ITA Scholar-Athletes and OU has been named an ITA Academic Team for the 11th year, the Intercollegiate Tennis Association announced Monday.
Carmen Corley, Ivana Corley, Nina Jabrzemski, Kianah Motosono and Camila Romero all earned Scholar-Athlete status for maintaining a grade point average of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale for the 2020-21 academic year.
This is the fourth ITA academic honor for Jabrzemski as well as the third for Motosono and Ivana Corley.
The Sooners have tallied at least five honorees every year since 2015.
With a 3.56 cumulative GPA, the Sooners were named an ITA Academic Team. OU has earned the team honor every year since 2011 and in 22 of the last 23 seasons.
Additionally, the women tied for most Academic All-Big 12 selections in program history with seven in Martina Capurro, Carmen Corley, Ivana Corley, Jabrzemski, Motosono, Marcelina Podlinska and Romero.
