Corley Sisters Earn NCAA Doubles Bid

May 04, 2021 | Women's Tennis

NORMAN – Junior Ivana Corley and sophomore Carmen Corley have earned an automatic bid to the 2021 NCAA Doubles Championships. The sister duo, who are the No. 18 team in the country, qualified for the event as the highest-ranked doubles team in the Big 12.

The Corleys will compete in the 32-team doubles draw held at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Fla., from May 23-28 after the conclusion of the team championship, which runs from May 16-22.

The Corley sisters will make the Sooners' eighth appearance at the NCAA doubles championships and the first since 2013. Just two OU doubles teams have advanced past the first round at the event.

Carmen and Ivana Corley amassed a 16-2 record in dual matches this season with an impressive 6-0 mark against ranked opponents. They are 26-3 on the year and 36-3 dating back to January 2020 when Carmen joined the Sooners.

Times and draws for the tournament will be announced at a later date.
