Dyer Awarded Final CGA Specialist of the Week

NORMAN – Senior Gage Dyer was recognized as the final 2021 CGA Specialist of the Week, the College Gymnastics Association announced Tuesday.
After a unique and challenging season, Dyer proved that he is worthy of national recognition yet again.
The team captain was sensational in the NCAA Team Finals, collecting two individual national titles and leading Oklahoma to a national runner-up team finish.
Dyer put up the top two individual scores of the meet, scoring astronomical 15.266 and 15.033 tallies on FX and VT, respectively. Both marked career highs for the senior and his 15.266 goes down as the top overall individual score throughout the NCAA season on any apparatus.
He garnered All-America status on both events to go with the individual national titles.
Dyer was also recognized as the NCAA's Event Specialist twice on floor during the regular season.
